Getting Setup with Microsoft Ads Offline Conversions

All of the tracked conversions in Perform[cb] can be imported into Microsoft Ads via Scheduled Uploads daily (once per 24 hours).

In your Microsoft Ads account, create new Conversion Action of “Import from clicks” source; this is mandatory.

Navigate to Tools  -> Conversion tracking -> Conversions Goals and create a new Conversion Goal

Select Offline as the kind of conversion you want to track.

Click Next and specify Goal Category (Purchase, Imported Lead...), Goal Details, and Name; under Revenue you will not be able to select Conversion action value may vary, this requires your UET tag tracking, which is not applicable. We will need to set the Revenue to the same value or not assign an value. Select All option in the Count section, 30 days for the Conversion window, and make sure you check off Include in “Conversions”.

Take note of the Conversion Goal name, you will be needing it later on. Select “Save and Next” and Done.

  • Go to Tracking Pixels > Add New

  • Depending on your preference, select Global Pixel, Offer Pixel, Offer Group or Vertical. In most cases, you’ll select a specific offer.

  • Select Fire On “CPA/CPE/CPI/CPS/CPL main conversion”

  • Select Type: “MICROSOFT Conversion Upload”

  • MICROSOFT Click ID: Specify the parameter used for MICROSOFT Click ID location (msclid, subid1, etc...)

  • Enter Conversion Goal Name exactly as you have defined it in Microsoft Ads

Note: After the Tracking Pixel is successfully created, Conversion Source URL, Username & Password fields will be populated. Take note of this info, you will be needing it for your scheduled upload.

Back in your Microsoft Ads account, navigate to Tools -> Conversion Tracking -> Offline Conversions. Switch to Schedules tab and add schedule entry:

Select HTTPS source, and under Source URL, Username & Password, enter information from your PerformCB Tracking Pixel. Under Frequency, choose Every 24 hours.

Note: Exported conversions will be in CSV format and will contain data only for the previous day, best time to schedule your uploads is between 10am-11am UTC. Please check your current timezone in your Microsoft Ads account under the Bill Summary menu.

If you ever needed to check exported CSVs for any other date, you can find them in the Upload tab by click the Download result button.
